1855-O Ten Dollar, AU55+
Low-Mintage New Orleans Issue
1855-O $10 AU55+ NGC. Variety 1. The 1855-O is a better New
Orleans issue with a meager mintage of 18,000 pieces. A majority of
survivors are in VF to AU55 grades, and NGC has yet to certify any
examples as Mint State. The present antebellum ten displays
pleasing luster within the plumage, legends, and stars. Only a
slight obverse rim nick at 11 o'clock merits passing mention.
