Scarce AU 1855-O Liberty Eagle
1855-O $10 AU 50 PCGS. An absolute and condition rarity among New Orleans eagles that compares favorably with most No Motto issues from the storied Southern mint, including some with mintages that are lower than the 18,000 pieces struck of the '55-O. There is minor softness on the highpoints that must be attributed to strike. Population: 12 in 50, 10 finer (2/00).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 263M, PCGS# 8617, GSID# 9448)
