Description

1855-S Ten Dollar, XF45
Only 60 to 80 Coins Exist

1855-S $10 XF45 PCGS. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth describe the 1855-S ten dollar as having "one of the lowest raw mintages of the No Motto type, as well as one of the lowest total populations." Only 9,000 coins were struck, of which 60 to 80 pieces survive. This Choice XF offering is slightly above average. Orange-gold surfaces display reddish accents and traces of reflectivity. The highest points show modest friction. Myriad abrasions.
