Important 1855-S Eagle
1855-S XF 40 PCGS. A very rare and highly respected issue with an original mintage of only 9,000 pieces. Of the very few known examples, only 6 have been certified by the services in AU (11/97). This coin has deep golden-orange color and shows a few small scattered abrasions, none of which are singularly distracting. This lot should be of great interest to gold collectors as so few pieces are available in any condition.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 263N, PCGS# 8618, GSID# 9449)
