Description
1856-S XF 40. Medium S. The '56-S is the second most common S-mint before 1879, but can still be considered a scarce coin when one considers the date in terms of absolute rarity. This is a very clean coin for the grade that shows considerable reddish color over both sides. A bit softly struck on the highpoints.
