Description

1857 $10 AU50 PCGS. CAC. Breen-6925. Housed in a PCGS Regency holder. A bold, thin, and slightly curved raised line connects the 5 in the date to the bottom of the crosslet of the 7. Breen considered this to be an overdate, but was uncertain of what digit this errant die line represented. Regardless of its overdate status, the 1857 is a much better date. Only 16,606 pieces were struck. This problem-free piece has bold details and ample radiant luster. Population: 22 in 50, 17 finer (7/15).
