Description

1857 $10 AU50 PCGS. Overdate, Breen-6925. "Curve of another digit between 57, touching the curve of 5 and the serif of 7. It is uncertain if this is part of another 5, another 7, or a 6. Extremely Rare." While uncertain whether the line between the digits is from any of the suggested sources, there is no question that this is, indeed, the variety stated, and that as a date, the 1857 is underrated. Smooth, evenly worn surfaces display a reddish-golden patina, but reveal no individually significant marks or other distractions. A rare opportunity for the variety collector. Housed in a large, green PCGS Regency holder.
