Important 1857 Liberty Ten, AU55
1857 $10 AU55 NGC. Perhaps because the next issue is so rare, the 1857 eagle is sometimes overlooked for its own importance. This piece is a pleasing pale yellow-gold example with light abrasions on each side. Production was just over 16,000 coins, and most wound up in circulation; high grade pieces are seldom seen.
