Description

1857 Ten Dollar, AU58
Conditionally Rare Philadelphia Issue

1857 $10 AU58 NGC. The Philadelphia Mint struck only 16,606 examples of the 1857 Liberty eagle. Mint State pieces are major rarities, and high-end AU coins are nearly as elusive. This near-Mint coin displays deep olive-gold and orange patina with remnants of luster in the protected regions. Light field chatter on each side includes a few singular marks on Liberty's cheek and in the field in front of her brow. Census: 24 in 58, 6 finer (1/25).(Registry values: N1793)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 263T, PCGS# 8622, Greysheet# 9378)
