Description
NGC 1857 AU 53. One of just 16,606 pieces minted, the 1857 is an elusive and underappreciated No Motto issue. Even fewer examples are available in higher grades and despite a steady stream of better date gold in our bullet sales, we have not offered an AU specimen in over a year. Sharply and evenly struck with much of the original luster intact. Trends $5,000 in AU 50.
