1857-S Ten Dollar, AU50
Low-Mintage and Scarce
1857-S $10 AU50 PCGS. While the 1857-S double eagle is
plentiful today, the ten dollar piece of this date and mint is
scarce, boasting a mintage of only 26,000 coins. The current About
Uncirculated piece shows handling wear and moderate abrasions, all
as expected for a West Coast issue of this period and grade.
Olive-gold patina is original. Population: 18 in 50, 35 finer
