Description

1857-S $10 VF35 PCGS. The San Francisco Mint struck more than a million gold coins during 1857, but most were double eagles. Just 26,000 ten dollar pieces were issued. The present orange-gold example has more than its share of peripheral luster, and the surfaces are less abraded than is usual for the VF35 grade. Certified in an old green label holder.
