Description
1857-S XF 45 NGC. This difficult S-mint eagle has an original mintage of only 26,000 pieces and a very low certified population. Noticeably worn, the surfaces display muted brown color and a plethora of abrasions. All in all, a rara avis for the gold specialist. Population: 8 in 45, 9 finer (6/99).
