Description
Rare XF 1858 No Motto Eagle
1858 $10 XF40 PCGS. Legendary Fort Worth dealer B. Max Mehl promoted the 1858 ten as a great rarity, and in fact the mintage of 2,521 pieces is the lowest production Philadelphia issue of the series prior to 1863. Considerable sun-gold luster outlines design elements, and the few moderate marks on the reverse field are appropriate for the grade and type.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 263W, PCGS# 8625, GSID# 9379)
