Description

Mellow XF40 1858 Eagle
Elusive Low-Mintage Issue

1858 $10 XF40 PCGS. Produced to the extent of a mere 2,521 business strikes, the 1858 eagle is a rare coin in any grade, although this piece is about typical of the few certified survivors. The surfaces are mellow amber-gold, with relatively unabraded surfaces and a good strike. Wear is consistent with the XF40 level but there are no problems. A tiny dark alloy spot at Liberty's mouth appears. Population: 5 in 40, 24 finer (8/10).(Registry values: N4719)
