Description1859-S $10 Fine 15 NGC. Liberty's hair and the eagle's plumage exhibit substantial wear, yet the shield and lower half of the eagle's body retains pleasing detail. Not as well known as the 1859-O, but nearly as rare, since the production of 7,000 pieces had a high rate of attrition. A minor reverse rim ding is noted at 7:30. Census: 2 in 15, 46 finer (3/06).
