    1860-S Ten Dollar, Fine Details
    A Mere 5,000 Pieces Minted

1860-S $10 -- Reverse Damage -- NGC Details. Fine. The caramel-gold obverse displays well on this elusive S-mint ten dollar, though several significant depressions are noted on the luminous reverse, those marks form a large letter L. Despite this impairment (counterstamp?), the present piece is an important representative of an issue with a mintage of just 5,000 pieces.
