Description
1861 $10 AU55 NGC. Bulging Bun subtype. Copious luster emerges across this caramel-gold No Motto type coin. Well detailed and attractive despite the expected quantity of abrasions, most apparent on the upper reverse field. The mintage of the 1861 is much less than the 1847 and 1847-O, but many were set aside with the advent of the Civil War.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2647, PCGS# 8633, GSID# 9382)
