Description
1861 Eagle, MS61
The Logical Choice for a No Motto Type Coin
1861 $10 MS61 PCGS. Bulging Bun subtype. The 1861 has the
largest mintage of the decade, and is the logical choice for a No
Motto type coin. Considering the grade, this piece shows remarkably
few abrasions. The surfaces are warm, even, light reddish-gold and
the strike is well brought-up throughout. Significant mint luster
is intermixed with semiprooflikeness that was created by die
polishing, remnants of which can be seen in the fields. From The Admiral Collection. (Registry values: N2998)
