1861 Eagle, Appealing MS62

1861 $10 MS62 PCGS. A large mintage of 113,164 Liberty eagles was accomplished in 1861, the first year of the Civil War. Most coins seen today are heavily circulated, and Mint State examples are rare. This sharply detailed MS62 specimen is a pleasing exception, displaying strong mint luster and appealing green and rose-gold surfaces. Population: 10 in 62 (1 in 62+), 4 finer (6/15).
