1862 $10 AU50 PCGS. The 1862 eagle is a difficult acquisition in all grades, with a relatively low mintage of around 11,000 pieces. Survivorship in higher grades is scarce, as just five coins have been reported by PCGS in Mint State. This piece is adorned with bronze-gold luster with light orange tones. Some minor abrasions appear on the coin, notably around the eagle's beak, along Liberty's neck, and scattered throughout the fields.
