Choice Prooflike 1862 Eagle--Tied For Finest Known
1862 AU 55 PCGS. This coin is tied with two others as the finest certified--both PCGS and NGC have each certified another AU 55. The fields on each side are deeply prooflike and this depth of reflectivity enhances the numerous, small abrasions that are peppered across each side. The only marks that stand out though are one below the eye of Liberty and another on the cheek behind the mouth. Sharply struck throughout.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2649, PCGS# 8635, GSID# 9383)
