1865-S $10 Fine 12 NGC. The rare Normal Date variety, more challenging to locate than its well known Inverted Date counterpart. The two varieties share the low mintage of 16,700 pieces. By comparison, San Francisco struck more than 1 million double eagles that year. The present peach-gold example is well circulated but problem-free.(Registry values: N1793)
