Description
AU Sharpness 1867-S Ten Dollar
1867-S $10 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU. Due to the preference of bankers and importers for the twenty dollar denomination, San Francisco mintages of eagles were minimal throughout the 1860s, though some were struck every year. The 1867-S is typically rare with a mintage of 9,000 pieces. No Mint State survivors are known, and the NGC Census shows a total of just 38 graded. The present apricot-gold example shows light wear and is mildly glossy from cleaning. Neither side shows any distracting abrasions.Auction Info
