Description
Appealing Choice AU 1868 Eagle
1868 $10 AU55 PCGS. CAC. The 1868 eagle is a low-mintage but high-survival coin, relatively speaking. Although only 10,665 pieces were made, a few examples at PCGS are graded AU58, along with a single MS62 coin. The present Choice AU piece offers lustrous orange-gold surfaces with scattered abrasions, mostly minor, and a nearly full strike. The eye appeal is excellent.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 264N, PCGS# 8653, GSID# 9389)
