Description
1868 XF 45 PCGS. Only 10,630 business strikes were produced of this scarcer With Motto issue. The majority of survivors are in the VF and XF grade range, this piece being 15 points finer than the average grade usually seen. The coin retains much prooflikeness in the fields and a light accent of rose colored patina is noted at the peripheries. Sharply struck, there are a few medium sized abrasions scattered over each side but none are concentrated in a single area. Trends $1,625 in XF 40, $3,900 in AU 50.
