1869 $10 AU53 NGC. Ex: Browning. The description from the Browning catalog is still useful in describing this piece: "A glittering, prooflike specimen with brightly reflective fields on both sides. A pale honey yellow gold. The few, scattered marks do not seriously detract form the eye appeal of this rare piece, of which only 1,855 were struck." Only 19 pieces have been certified in higher grades of this rare date with the finest an MS63 (9/08).
