1869 XF 40 NGC. As with all known examples of this rare date, the fields show evidence of heavy die polish and subsequent prooflike mirroring. Even after 20 points of wear the reflectivity is still apparent. Otherwise, the surfaces are light in color with numerous small abrasions scattered about. The most obvious marks are a couple of scratches in the field above the date. Trends $3,250.
