1869 AU 58 NGC. An extremely rare date. With a mintage of only 1,830 pieces, the 1869 is one of the premier rarities in the With Motto ten dollar series and indeed among all Coronet tens. It is almost never seen any finer than XF, and few examples are known even in that grade. Deeply prooflike, this coin shows numerous marks on both sides and a bright yellow-gold color. This is definitely a condition census coin and only 3 coins have been certified higher than AU 58 by NGC and PCGS (11/98).
