Description

1869 Eagle Rarity, One of Only 1,855 Pieces Produced

1869 $10 XF 45 PCGS. Typically abraded for the grade, the surfaces do, nonetheless, exhibit remnants of the prooflike finish at most angles. The devices are nicely defined and the overall color is tan-gold in shade. Only 1,855 1869 eagles were produced, and survivors are more difficult to locate their 1866 and 1868 counterparts. In terms of overall rarity, this issue compares favorably with the 1864, 1865, and 1867.
