Description
1870 VF 25. An elusive P-mint Liberty eagle, this issue has a very low mintage of only 3,990 business strikes. The surfaces on this example display the prooflike flash of an XF coin, but are somewhat weak on the highpoints and show numerous field marks are each side. Attractive reddish patina outlines the peripheral devices.
