1870-S $10 VF20 NGC. This low-mintage issue had a meager production of just 8,000 coins, and examples are scarce at all grade levels. The light green-gold surfaces of this VF example display orange-rose luster remnants near some of the devices, especially on the obverse. A noticeable puncture mark resides near the center of the horizontal shield stripes on the reverse. Census: 2 in 20, 53 finer (11/14).(Registry values: N1793)
