1871-S $10 AU53 PCGS. CAC....
Description
1871-S Liberty Eagle, AU53 CAC
Elusive Issue in All Grades

 1871-S $10 AU53 PCGS. CAC. The 1871-S Liberty eagle claims a
mintage of 16,500 pieces, and the survival rate for this issue is
unusually low, making the date quite elusive in all grades. Most
examples seen are in the VF-XF grade range. This attractive AU53
specimen retains much of its original mint luster over lightly
abraded orange and rose-gold surfaces. The high quality within the
grade is confirmed by CAC. Population: 11 in 53, 12 finer. CAC: 5
in 53, 4 finer (10/25).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2013), lot 7352.(Registry values: N4719)
