1871-S AU 53 NGC. This piece is bright with some luster still showing. The Y-shaped die crack is missing from the left obverse field on this piece. The most obvious mark on the coin is a shallow scratch in the reverse field between the eagle's breast and the olive leaves. A tad softly struck in the centers. Trends $6,850 in AU 50, not listed higher.
