Scarce 1872-S Ten Dollar, AU58
1872-S $10 AU58 NGC. An important opportunity for the specialist, as the date began with a low mintage of just 17,300 coins, followed by nearly immediate circulation of those pieces that were coined. The result is a condition rarity that is almost never seen in Mint State grades. This piece has nearly full luster with satiny yellow-gold surfaces and little more than a few scattered abrasions on each side.
