1872-S $10 XF45 PCGS. The San Francisco Mint coined a mere 17,300 eagles in 1872, preferring to strike the double eagle that had a mintage of 780,000 coins. This elusive issue is represented here by a pleasing light yellow example, a Choice XF coin that has trivial marks and faint hairlines.
