1873-S Eagle, AU55
Better West Coast Issue
1873-S $10 AU55 NGC. According to PCGS, only there are only
"80 to 100 known" 1873-S eagles. The mintage was a meager 12,000
pieces, and little regard was given to setting aside specimens for
posterity until the 20th century. This is a well-defined and
moderately marked olive-gold representative that displays many
pockets of luster in protected regions. Census: 13 in 55, 10 finer
