Important 1873-S Eagle, XF45
1873-S $10 XF45 NGC. Pleasing orange-gold surfaces are free of all but the usual inconsequential handling marks. Considerable luster is still visible, especially in the protected areas near the border and next to the devices. NGC and PCGS have certified 30 pieces at this grade level, 53 others in lower grades, and 49 in higher grades, including a single PCGS MS61, the only Mint State piece graded by either service.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2656, PCGS# 8668, GSID# 9478)
