Description

1874-CC $10 VF20 NGC. Any Carson City eagle from the 1870s is rare, since bullion depositors preferred the double eagle denomination, which required fewer coins for clerks to count in payments. This original and blemished example is softly struck, but has less actual than is customary for the VF20 grade.(Registry values: N991)
