Description

Popular 1874-CC Ten-Dollar

1874-CC XF 40 PCGS. In spite of its impressively low mintage of only 16,767 pieces, the '74-CC is the most easily found CC ten produced prior to 1880. Softly struck, as always, the reddish-gold surfaces have a light overlay of gray patina on the highest portions of the devices. A couple of field abrasions are noted on the obverse that detract slightly from the overall appearance of the coin.
