Description

1874-S XF 40 Cleaned. A significant rarity among Liberty eagles, one of 10,000 pieces struck, and an issue that is almost never seen with less than 20 points of wear. This piece, unfortunately, has been somewhat dulled by a rather harsh scrubbing that mostly affects the obverse. A few tiny rim nicks are noted here and there, perhaps suggestive of use in jewelry. Affordable quality for this elusive and otherwise expensive San Francisco ten.
