Description

1875-CC Liberty Eagle, VF20
Challenging in All Grades

1875-CC $10 VF20 NGC. Winter 1-A. Rusty Goe estimates that only 100 to 135 examples of the 1875-CC tens survive. Many of those coins have problems, but this apricot-gold example is only slightly granular, and marks are minor save for a narrow vertical scuff on Liberty's neck. production quality was not the greatest, with even high-end examples showing incompleteness over the centers. For the VF20 level, this coin is original and better-defined than expected. Light abrasions and marks pepper the surfaces, but eye appeal is strong for the grade.(Registry values: N2998)
