Description

1876-CC Eagle, XF45+
Rich Orange-Gold Color

1876-CC $10 XF45+ NGC. Winter 1-A. The mintage was only 4,696 pieces, although some pieces were held back from local distribution and used in foreign transactions. This example likely remained in domestic hands and survived with only minor marks and abrasions. A touch of central weakness comes from the combined effects of circulation wear and a soft central strike, visible at Liberty's face curls. Stars 1, 2, and 13 are more rounded than the other stars. Still, this coin is minimally marked for the grade and eye appeal is outstanding thanks to the coins vibrant and deep orange-gold color. The PCGS Plus designation confirms high quality for the Choice XF grade. Census: 26 in 45 (1 in 45+), 38 finer (12/24).(Registry values: N4719)
