Description

Important Choice XF 1877-CC Eagle

1877-CC $10 XF45 PCGS. The 1877-CC eagle, a low-mintage issue of just 3,332 pieces, is arguably underrated by today's collectors; this is likely a byproduct of how infrequently it is offered, since a glance at the Permanent Auction Archives shows just over a dozen prior appearances, far fewer than for many other Carson City issues. This well-defined example is modestly abraded, with considerable reflective luster remaining in the sun-yellow fields. Great eye appeal for the grade. Population: 8 in 45, 12 finer (4/09).(Registry values: N2998)
