Description

1878 $10 MS62 PCGS. From a mintage of 73,700 pieces, the 1878 Liberty eagle is scarce in Mint State grades. This impressive MS62 example displays just a touch of the usual softness on Liberty's curls and some star centers, while the reverse is sharply detailed throughout. The lustrous orange-gold surfaces exhibit the expected number of minor contact marks for the grade. Population: 56 in 62 (3 in 62+), 20 finer (9/18).(Registry values: N1793)
