Description
1878-S AU 53 PCGS. This coin is considered scarce as a date, and in AU is a condition rarity. PCGS has certified only one mint state example of this date. Some rich, orange-golden patina graces both sides, and the strike is certainly respectable, although not quite full. Several contact marks are noted around the date.
