Razor-Sharp Motifs
1879 $10 MS64 NGC. Breen-6993. Breen's so-called 1879/8
variety, now generally regarded as an 1879/9. Strike definition is
practically full on each side of this near-Gem. The obverse stars
and reverse eagle are particularly sharp. Warm yellow-gold surfaces
glisten with radiant mint luster and display nothing more than
minor field chatter. Census: 11 in 64, 2 finer (7/18).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 265M, PCGS# 8683, Greysheet# 9400)
