Description

1879/8 MS 62. The lower left loop of the 8 is plainly evident within the lower loop of the 9. A rare variety and only the second or third piece we can remember having seen. The coin has dazzling mint luster that radiates from surfaces that are deeply mirrored giving this piece incredible eye appeal. The devices are frosty and the strike is razor-sharp with all of the hair and feather detail clearly defined. A very pleasing coin.
