1879-CC Ten Dollar, XF Details
Only 45 to 60 Pieces Known

1879-CC $10 -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine Secure. XF Details. Variety 1-A. The 1879-CC ten comes from a scant mintage of 1,762 coins. All were struck with a single die pair, which is distinguished by a heavy die line that runs through the E in LIBERTY. This issue has an estimated survivorship of only 45 to 60 coins, just one of which is designated Mint State by the leading certification services (6/18). This XF-level coin displays slightly muted surfaces from an old cleaning but has since retoned orange-gold. The design elements are well-detailed. Population: 6 in 40, 34 finer (6/18).
