1879-S $10 MS61 NGC. A moderately scarce date, with the typical example falling into the AU50 to AU58 grade range, and only a few dozen examples certified in Mint State. Peach-gold surfaces exhibit sharply struck design elements on this MS61 specimen, and the most potent luster occurs in the areas around and the interstices of the design elements.
