Description

1879-S $10 MS61 NGC. A moderately scarce date, with the typical example falling into the AU50 to AU58 grade range, and only a few dozen examples certified in Mint State. Peach-gold surfaces exhibit sharply struck design elements on this MS61 specimen, and the most potent luster occurs in the areas around and the interstices of the design elements. Tiny marks evenly scattered about define the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
